This class runs a full semester which allows us to really work one on one with each student to reach their individual goals. They will learn how to analyze their characters and how to connect with each other more on stage by using “beats” and “intentions”. Students will be able to take their basic knowledge of theatre skills and use them in the next level. This class is the next step up from our Mini Players. SaturdaysĪn advanced performance class for middle school students. Each semester we challenge the students with either a stage acting based class or a musical theatre based class. ![]() This class runs a full semester to give students time to learn what it takes to put on a more professional show with a final performance open to the public to purchase tickets. We incorporate games and theater lessons that relate to the production they are rehearsing, to help better understand their characters and movements on stage and to enhance their performance. This enchanting class is for students who have some experience in theatre, and have a basic understanding of the terms and skills that go into theatre arts. ThursdaysĪn advanced performance class for students who are ready for a bit more commitment. Improv is a valuable tool for actors to practice their skills and it's fun too! We will have a showcase on the last day of class. Learn how to think on your feet, increase stage presence and reaction, and also the importance of teamwork on stage. ThursdaysĪ helpful skill for all young actors to learn.Įver wanted to take a class that was nothing but games? Well now you can! During this class students will be exploring the art of improv. While working on a short production, students will gain the tools and confidence they need to explore the next step in character development. Students will now learn how to develop a character by using their script and the other characters around them. In this class we take the basic beginning level skills and raise the bar.
